Project Details
We invite one student to join our small staff of three professional archivists for a processing internship during the Fall 2022 semester.
The intern will be responsible for processing a small collection of historical or administrative records, including identifying what materials can be discarded or retained permanently, arranging permanent records in a logical order, creating an inventory, and authoring an accompanying history. The final product will be a complete collection guide that can be shared with researchers to help them determine if the collection is relevant to their work and which items they want to consult.
The intern will also receive preservation, handling, and reference tutorials during the semester; other opportunities may be provided based on the intern's interests and professional goals.
