Processing archival collections

We have a number of interesting archival collections available for a LIS student to process, depending on their interests (i.e personal papers, organizational records, family collections). All collections have been accessioned but not processed. Students would receive hands-on experience processing a collection from housing and preservation, arrangement and description, to cataloging. All tasks will be completed with support from the Archivist and Special Collections Librarian. If interested in outreach and programming, there is an opportunity for the student to create a public program based on the collection. Depending on the project this could be for either introductory or advanced students.
