Site Description
The museum building was erected in 1792 as the first true hotel for health seekers visiting the mineral springs of Saratoga and Ballston. It is a three-story Georgian vernacular structure with a Greek Revival portico added on about 1830. The first floor contains galleries and a meeting room; the second, a library, office, textile and archival storage; the attic is devoted to storage.
