Project Details
Many items in our collection have accumulated over time and are not accessioned or processed. This includes a corner of large rolled items (mostly maps) and some maps in a flat map drawer. The projects would include doing an inventory of all of these items, and then appraising them based on the collection management policy. We can then decide what to keep and what fits in a different collection, and follow the accession or deaccession workflows for each item. Hopefully the student will have time to create a finding aid for the map collection.

I am only a part-time archivist, so I work two days a week, usually from about 9am-4pm. I work Wednesdays and Thursdays most weeks, but not always. The museum is open from 10am-4pm Wednesday-Saturday.
