The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is the first botanic garden in the country dedicated to native plants, celebrating its Centennial in 2026. The Garden's mission is to conserve native plants and habitats for the health and well-being of people & our planet. The Garden's library and archive houses institutional records, photographs, artwork, publications, objects, maps, and oral histories and serves Garden staff and volunteers, primarily, with the intention of opening up to the broader public in the coming years.
