Project Details
We use Past-Perfect Software to inventory the Archives materials. There are many years of Diocesan Periodicals that are not cataloged with subject matter or people's names within the articles. The project would entail reviewing each periodical and entering records into Past-Perfect with the corresponding data. The student will need to decide the relative importance of each article and the subjects. This will provide an invaluable source of reference and research for the future. Student will be provided a laptop and access to Past-Perfect.
Student will experience the atmosphere and operation of a Historical Archives operation, and observe varying storage and retrieval methodologies. If possible, there may be field trips to Warner, NH, the site of the former Magdalen College. This campus is now owned by the Diocese of Manchester and there are thousands of books to inventory.

Requirements
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft applications. Prior experience with Past-Perfect is not required. Obviously, student would need to have an appreciation for handling and care of archival materials.
