Project Details
The intern will work on the digitization of a small collection of microfilmed newspaper. They will learn how to use a bulk process microfilm scanner and perform post-imaging processing. This will include collation and deduplication, metadata creation and all other tasks associated with readying a newspaper collection for ingest. At the end of this internship there should be a small number of microfilm reels that are ready for ingest and will be shortly made available through digitalcommonwealth.org.
