Periodicals Management with Selective Digitization

Wanderground has a significant collection of periodicals (newsletters, journal, magazines, zines, etc.). For the most part, the titles are listed in the catalog [wanderground.org/periodicals]. However, many records have incomplete or misplaced data, including missing images. Some data has been collected by a volunteer to an excel datasheet but not yet placed into the catalog.

This project involves:
• Reviewing and completing missing or misplaced data fields
• Scanning covers to add to the catalog
• Creating a list of periodicals rare and best suited for digitization
o Also make proposal for best way to store and and/or make them available online
• Beginning the process of digitizing periodicals

** This is a huge project and we do not expect it to be completed in the allotted time.
