The Spring 2026 HMANE Senior Student Archivist will complete the organization of an archaeological archive. The HMANE houses the records of Theresa Goell, the archaeologist responsible for the 20th century excavation of several sites in Turkey. Previous museum efforts (frequently involving Simmons LIS438 students) examined and inventoried smaller portions of this large and important archaeological record. The Spring 2026 Senior Student Archivists will structure and inventory the remaining parts of the archive, then re-asses the previous inventories with the goal to bring all into harmony. The Archivist will produce a new, complete folder-level inventory (existing finding-aids will be provided to serve as the foundation).
