Seeklight & Partisan Review

This project is part of our partnership with JSTOR’s Seeklight experimental AI metadata project. The student would work with Yumi Ohira on ingesting a publication into our institutional repository, OpenBU. Yumi would be her internship supervisor, and the intern would work at Mugar Library. The Partisan Review has already been run through Seeklight, and metadata and transcriptions have been created, but that data needs to be carefully reviewed and reformatted for DSpace, all the issues need to be ingested into the platform, and the new workflow will have to be designed and documented. Yumi may also have some other projects related to scholarly publishing, if time permits. We also will provide opportunities to shadow us and other BU Libraries staff whose jobs are of interest, and they will be involved in as many meetings and office activities as possible to get a broad picture of academic library work.
