Located in the heart of downtown Springfield, Massachusetts, the Springfield Museums offer access to five world-class museums - The d'Amour Museum of Fine Arts; The George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum; The Springfield Science Museum, the Lyman and Merrie Wood Museum of Springfield, and the Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum.
The WMSH Library and Archives (part of the History Museum) aims to collect and document materials related to Springfield's history from 1636 to yesterday. Our archival collections span a wide range of topics from the works of individual folks and families; to the records of local businesses and politicians; to early founding documents of the city and surrounds. In addition the Library boasts a 20,000+ volume library of school yearbooks, genealogical publications, and the works local authors and other local organizations.
