Project Details
Students will assist Manager in transforming an analog record-keeping system into a digital catalog using Artwork Archive software. Data entry includes details of each individual print in the collection (approximately 1650 images; 4500 prints) from an existing handwritten notebook. Each page of the notebook contains detailed information on the print, including its title, location, dimensions, condition, subject matter, location within the collection, and so on. Students may need to search for an accompanying image for the database and/or scan the actual print as needed. (Scanner is provided.) Students will learn about art collection organization and management and how to protect and maintain a legacy archive.
