Holmes Family Papers
Approximately 1 linear foot. This collection is comprised primarily of 19th century materials. It includes diaries, scrapbooks, photographs, correspondence and oversize material. The Holmes family owned and operated the J. A. Holmes grocery store on the corner of Prospect St and Massachusetts Ave.
Mo Lotman Collection
Approximately 1 linear foot. Mr. Lotman is the author of Harvard Square, an Illustrated History Since 1950 (2009). This collection was donated to the commission in March 2013, and consists of negatives, prints, magazines, advertisements, and other materials related to the built environment of Cambridge. Documented areas include Mount Auburn Street, Dunster Street, and Brattle Street, among other well-known areas in and around Harvard Square.
29 Follen Street Photograph Collection (Only if the primary project is completed with time to spare)
2 photograph albums from the late 20th century. These albums were made to document the furnishings and landscaping of 29 Follen St. They are in need of processing and rehousing.
