Project Details
DHNow team to develop a topical keywording and tagging system for DHNow posts, to improve discovery. DHNow is an experimental, edited publication that highlights and distributes informally published digital humanities scholarship and resources from the open web. Recently relaunched as part of the Centers for Digital Scholarship at Northeastern University, DHNow publishes regular notices of articles, project reports, white papers, research in progress, events, job postings, and other material of value to the digital humanities community. As the archive of postings grows, the project is seeking ways to improve search and discovery, including the creation of a system of topical keywords. The intern would work closely with the DHNow Coordinator and Co-Director on reviewing the archive of posts, examining existing keywording systems in use by other digital humanities publications, developing and documenting a keywording system, and applying keywords across the archive. Work for this position would take place in the Centers for Digital Scholarship in Snell Library, on Northeastern University’s Boston campus, with an option for some remote work as well.
