Project Details
DTL interns train in the use of the OCLC knowledge base, creating and managing digital collections in the OCLC environment. Our interns typically achieve the following learning outcomes: 1) the ability to create new collections in the OCLC knowledge base; 2) the ability to manage content in both existing and new OCLC collections; and 3) the ability to troubleshoot discoverability and access problems in the OCLC environment. Depending on the intern's interests and prior experience, the internship may include improving metadata for existing MARC records in WorldCat, deriving new catalog records, creating and updating LibGuides pages, and performing user experience analyses.
