The Claes H. Dohlman, MD, PhD, papers document the life and work of Claes H. Dohlman, who is considered the father of modern corneal science and invented of the Boston Keratoprosthesis. The student would be working on processing his personal papers, which consist primarily textual records and are in need of rehousing, arrangement, and description. The student will also contribute to the collection's finding aid and will learn how to use ArchivesSpace.

The student must complete the required onboarding process prior to being cleared to work on site, which includes online trainings and receiving or providing proof of up-to-date COVID-19 and flu vaccinations, as well as a negative TB test (Occupational Health can assist the student with documentation and receiving shots or tests as necessary).
Please note that this collection contains photographs and illustrations of eye surgical procedures mixed in with other material, which the student is likely to encounter during processing. The student should be comfortable handling material that contains medical imagery within reason/as necessary.
