Open Publishing & Digital Scholarship/Scholarly Communications

As part of Nora Zahn’s internship at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Libraries, they will work on projects across two units – Open Publishing & Digital Scholarship and Scholarly Communications – to get hands on experience related to library publishing programs, institutional repositories, and supporting open access policies and initiatives in an academic library. While specific projects depend on external factors, I hope that Nora will be able to: support the setup of new open access journals, assist with metadata standardization and cleanup in our recently migrated institutional repository, develop outreach-related infographics on open access publishing, and provide overall feedback on our existing Libguides around Scholarly Communications and Publishing topics.
