Project Details
This on-site archival internship is best suited for students with previous archival experience. Projects may include evaluating, processing, and incorporating small local history collections into Beverly Public Library's local history Beverly Room. Interns will review previously created archivist reports and preservation & processing plans for the Beverly Room, with the goal of determining what collection materials meet the criteria for inclusion in the Beverly Room or should be offered to other institutions or discarded. Depending on an intern's interest areas, interns may also propose improvements to existing plans, digitize materials, or organize a patron program. Interns will give a staff presentation at the conclusion of their internship. The intern will be supervised by the Head of Reference.
