The Local History Room of the Somerville Public Library houses archival collections on the history of Somerville. The collection includes government records, photographs, local newspapers, ephemera and manuscripts. Collection highlights include materials on the 1834 Ursuline Convent Riots, environmental reports on the Green and Red Line extensions, and City of Somerville Annual Reports and residential directories.
