The Spring 2025 HMANE Student Archivist will assist in the organization of an archaeological archive. The HMANE houses the records of Theresa Goell, the archaeologist responsible for the excavation of several sites in Turkey. Previous museum efforts have provided minimal processing (preliminary sorting, boxing, and inventory) of this large and important archaeological record. Spring 2025 archivists will work to refine two sub-sections of the Goell Archive--Publication and Images. Goell's publication research will be reorganized and a folder-level Finding Aid created. Image record include film negative, which must be rehoused in new archival sleeves, and pre-existing item-level inventories must be reworked to reflect the new storage.
