Spivak/Spevak Collection Processing

The student will process a collection of mixed material (photographs, documents, publications, artifacts) donated by the son of an alumnus. The items were collected by two brothers who graduated from Delaware Valley University’s predecessor, the National Farm School. Processing will include arrangement and description of the collection as well as housing in archival containers. The student will conduct background research on the alums to create a biographical sketch of the collection’s creators and will compile administrative notes that place the collection in context for researchers. Additionally, the student will create a finding aid and recommend items for digitization.
