Project Details
The Mineralogical and Geological Museum at Harvard University (MGMH) archives consist of paper records and photographs from historical individuals closely related to the MGMH including curators, faculty, and collectors. Records contain works of the administrative, curatorial, teaching, and research activities of the staff of the museum. The MGMH Archives Project is an initiative to digitize, organize, and preserve the museum's extensive collection of historical records. This project aims to improve the accessibility, findability, and long-term preservation of valuable documents and photographs within the archives. The successful candidate will play a critical role in achieving these goals by digitizing materials, updating the finding aid, and ensuring the secure storage of both physical and digital records.
