Project Details
The Gibson House Museum is a totally preserved Victorian townhouse in the Back Bay of Boston.. It has existed as a museum since the 1950s and interprets culture and community in Boston in the 19th and early 20th century, servant life in the area, and the queer identify of its owner, Charles Gibson. We are organizing the institutional records of the museum from its founding to the present. The records have been pre-sorted into series and we need students to to do detailed processing and work on a finding aid for this large project. Interns will be asked to tackle selected portions of the records so that they can feel a sense of completion at the end of the semester.
