Project Details
We have several small collections (1-2 boxes each) requiring processing. The work entails rehousing (including separating photos from sticky backings, photocopying news clippings, etc.); arranging materials; creating finding aids; digitizing selected items; cataloging the collections and the selected items within them in our database, Past Perfect; and possibly creating or helping to create blurbs or mini-videos about the collections for our social media. It's a good introduction to working in a small archives and at a local history organization.

Work can be done any time on Mondays, Tuesdays, and/or Wednesdays between 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM (supervisor's hours). There is currently no stipend available, although I hope this will change. The Jackson Homestead and Museum is near a bus line and a commuter rail station but not the T. There is a small parking lot and additional on-street parking.
