Accessioning local history donations

We have a significant amount of local history donations that have been made over time, and stored in a closet. Our local history librarian/archivist has created a flowchart of best practices for evaluating these materials for accession, and then the steps to follow to determine whether they require a finding aid, a catalog entry, digitization, etc, and to shepherd the items through these processes, We would love to have an intern work with her on this - it would be a great way to have exposure to a variety of materials, and how they may be handled in a special collection in a public library.
