Project Details
This internship will consist of processing a small collection from the Aga Khan Documentation Center (AKDC), part of MIT Libraries' Department of Distinctive Collections that focuses on art and architecture of the Islamic world. The student will initially survey the collection, propose a plan for processing, and then arrange and rehouse materials in the collection as needed. Using ArchivesSpace, the intern will describe the materials at a folder level and create an EAD finding aid. Deliverables include a processing plan, the completed finding aid, and a social media post. There may also be an opportunity to work with digital materials. The student will work with the Archival Processing Manager for Distinctive Collections and various staff members in AKDC.
Are you willing to complete two evaluations of your students progress through out the course of the semester?
