Unlike the Gallup polls sent out by the University, these are the official course evaluations conducted by SLIS – they can directly impact on the way instructors consider running the course in the future, and will be available for other students to read when considering classes (anonymously, of course). Rhiannon’s most recent work asks how libraries and museums should preserve digital heritage (like video games and computational art) and involves working with researchers and preservation institutions around the world. While doing that, she has taught and designed curricula that help students engage with tricky questions and get hands-on experience with preservation systems, digital forensics tools, and metadata creation. She is interested in opportunities in the areas of digital stewardship including preservation, curation, and metadata. Come hang out with AMIA and ASIS&T as we participate in the American Archive of Public Broadcasting’s Transcribe to Digitize challenge by correcting computer-generated transcripts for programs from WGBH through the Fix It + platform. In addition to making public media history more accessible online, each transcript corrected funds the digitization of one at-risk tape.<\/span><\/i><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
