Meenakshi Verma-Agrawal, Assistant Director of the Masters of Public Health Program at Simmons, and Felipe Agudelo-Acevedo work along with the MPH on racial justice and structural systems of oppression. Come tour the library at the Suffolk County House of Correction in South Bay with SLA. The librarians there will discuss the nature of work at the library and the unique challenges posed by the nature of a correctional institution. We will also talk with the Head of Women’s Programming. We will meet in the lobby of the Palace Road Building at 1:15pm and travel together (it is about a 40 minute trip).
