\nJoin Simmons ASIS&T for a panel on Design for Diversity – an IMLS grant funded project based in the Northeastern University Libraries. One of the major outcomes of the grant is a prototype toolkit exploring the resources and strategies needed to help cultural heritage practitioners advocate for and create more inclusive information systems. Design for Diversity covers topics including algorithmic bias, digital curation, knowledge organization systems, and user experience as they pertain to libraries, archives, and cultural heritage institutions. In this panel discussion we will get a chance to look at the toolkit website and discuss how the theory and practice of \u201cdesigning for diversity\u201d can inform our LIS education. <\/em><\/p>\nComing Soon!<\/h2>\n
