What do door stops, small toys, masks, clothing hooks, and earrings all have in common? They can be 3-D printed! Come to the SLIS Tech Lab to learn how to use the 3-D printer and explore objects to create on Thingiverse. Note: not everyone will be able to create a 3-D printed object during the workshop, but those who attend the workshop can print whenever the lab is open and the printer is unoccupied.\u00a0<\/span>

The Diversity, Equity, Race, Accessibility, and Identity in LIS (DERAIL) Forum upholds the essential role of combating white supremacy and oppressive power structures in LIS institutions and pedagogy. We seek to create a productive and mindful space to explore the impacts of social justice frameworks in guiding our work as students and practitioners.<\/div>\n

The DERAIL 2018 conference will be held\u00a0March 3-4 2018<\/span><\/span>\u00a0at Simmons College. It is organized by current Simmons SLIS students to give LIS students and recent graduates (up to one year after graduation) the opportunity to share their research and experiences with social justice in our institutions.<\/div>\n
