Board positions may be filled by students at SLIS Boston, SLIS West, or by online students.<\/p>\n

NE-ASIS&T Liaison (1 Position)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The NEASIS&T Liaison will be responsible for communicating and collaborating with the New England ASIS&T Chapter. Duties include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Attends monthly NEASIS&T Programming Committee Meetings (virtual)<\/li>\n
  • Promotes NEASIS&T events to Simmons ASIS&T members<\/li>\n
  • Promotes Simmons ASIS&T events to NEASIS&T members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Communications Officer (1 Position)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    The Communications Officer will be responsible for managing social media accounts and promoting events. Duties include:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Manages social media account for Simmons ASIS&T<\/li>\n
    • Makes flyers and other paper promotional materials. (It would be a plus for the person serving in this capacity to have a basic knowledge of graphics editing applications such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks, or Illustrator.)<\/li>\n
    • Distributes promotional emails for events and seminars via the listserv<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Webmaster (1 Position)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      The webmaster will be responsible for managing the Chapter’s blog. Duties include:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Edit content that appears on the blog (ex: add, update, and remove posts) so as to inform visitors of upcoming events, activities, meetings, and opportunities<\/li>\n
      • Style the blog – modify the layout and color scheme<\/li>\n
      • Create widgets, menus, and pages as needed<\/li>\n
      • Utilize other customization and dashboard settings to manage the blog<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
