{"id":2107,"date":"2018-07-31T23:00:33","date_gmt":"2018-08-01T03:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/slis.simmons.edu\/blogs\/asist\/?p=2107"},"modified":"2018-07-31T23:00:33","modified_gmt":"2018-08-01T03:00:33","slug":"fall-2018-open-asist-e-board-positions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/slis.simmons.edu\/blogs\/asist\/?p=2107","title":{"rendered":"Fall 2018 &#8211; Open ASIS&amp;T E-Board Positions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The following board positions are currently unfilled as of August 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Board positions may be filled by students at SLIS Boston, SLIS West, or by online students.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Co-Chair (1 position)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Co-Chair will serve as the head of Simmons ASIS&amp;T. They are responsible for carrying out the administrative and event planning aspects of the group. Duties include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Event Planning<\/li>\n<li>Scheduling of Board Meetings<\/li>\n<li>Delegation of tasks for larger events<\/li>\n<li>Manages listservs<\/li>\n<li>Manages access to the ASIS&amp;T Google Drive Folder<\/li>\n<li>Submission of End of Semester reports to LISSA<\/li>\n<li>Communication with Simmons ASIS&amp;T Faculty Advisor<\/li>\n<li>Working with Faculty Advisor to submit yearly report to National ASIS&amp;T organization<\/li>\n<li>Communication with other student groups for collaboration events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Secretary (1 Position)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Secretary will be responsible for keeping and managing Simmons ASIS&amp;T meeting minutes. Duties include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attends Student Leader Meetings (when possible)<\/li>\n<li>Keeps meeting minutes of board meetings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>NE-ASIS&amp;T Liaison (1 Position)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The NEASIS&amp;T Liaison will be responsible for communicating and collaborating with the New England ASIS&amp;T Chapter. Duties include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attends monthly NEASIS&amp;T Programming Committee Meetings (virtual)<\/li>\n<li>Promotes NEASIS&amp;T events to Simmons ASIS&amp;T members<\/li>\n<li>Promotes Simmons ASIS&amp;T events to NEASIS&amp;T members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Communications Officer (1 Position)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Communications Officer will be responsible for managing social media accounts and promoting events. Duties include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manages social media account for Simmons ASIS&amp;T<\/li>\n<li>Makes flyers and other paper promotional materials.
