They are a group of students from the SLIS and COCIS community who work with you to provide available workspace and community assistance for all your SLIS Tech needs! The SLIS Tech Lab is located in the Palace Road building, room P-213, on the second floor next to the vending machines.<\/p>\n<p>While Simmons Technology is available to help you with connection errors and general tech issues, SLIS tech is ready to help with SLIS-oriented software, and acts as a specialized tech resource for the SLIS and COCIS community.<\/p>\n<p>You are encouraged to stop by the Lab during their open hours, and get to know the resources that are available to you!<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, please email them at<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:slistech@simmons.edu\">slistech@simmons.edu<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Their direct phone line is:<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"tel:(617)%20521-2802\">617.521.2802<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The SLIS Tech Lab&#8217;s regular hours for the Fall 2017 term are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>7:30am-9:30pm\u00a0Monday-Thursday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>8:00am-5:00pm\u00a0Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>9:00am-5:00pm\u00a0Saturday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>10:00am-4:00pm\u00a0Sunday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=0B2ByRhpgkD8xN2ZsUXd6Y1I0aDA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> to view a full list of their available hours (and holidays during which they are closed).<\/p>\n<p>The SLIS Tech Lab offers many services to the SLIS and COCIS communities, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tech Spaces available for reservation (P-213 TechLab, P-314 Collaboratory)<\/li>\n<li>Equipment resources (including a 3D printer!)<\/li>\n<li>Items Available for Borrowing (including chargers and laptops!)<\/li>\n<li>Software resources (SO MANY APPS)<\/li>\n<li>Human resources \u2013 visit the Lab to speak with staff who can assist you with a variety of technology-related issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The\u00a0<span class=\"il\">SLIS<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Tech<\/span>\u00a0Lab community now includes the\u00a0<i>Media Lab (room P-203)<\/i>, which is responsible for filming\u00a0<span class=\"il\">SLIS<\/span>\u00a0and COCIS \u2013 community events.
