Library 2.017: Expertise, Competencies, and Careers<\/p>\n

“What skills, knowledge, traits, and expectations will you need to support all types and sizes of libraries and their communities in the future? What will employers be expecting? What competencies will be necessary for information professionals \u2013 librarians, technologists, and library workers – to deliver critical services and resources and to thrive in today and tomorrow\u2019s society? How can library and information science schools and professional development programs prepare library professionals?”<\/p>\n

This free mini-conference will be held online on Wednesday, March 29 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm and is being organized in partnership with the American Library Associations. The ALA president, Julie Todaro will be the moderator for the opening panel and closing keynote speaker.<\/p>\n
