Enjoyed the Professional Publications Panel? As a follow up, we will also be hosting a panel addressing how to present research at a conference. Robin Brenner, Teen Librarian from the Public Library of Brookline, will be joining professors Colin Rhinesmith, Laura Saunders, and Rebecka Sheffield to answer all of your questions about presenting and attending conferences. Join us for a panel with professors Lisa Hussey, Colin Rhinesmith, Rong Tang, and Kathy Wisser who will answer common questions about how to get your papers published in professional journals, as well as questions from the attendees. Refreshments will be served.
Ex Libris Film Screening
AMIA and ALASC have partnered to sponsor a film field trip to the MFA’s screening of Frederick Wiseman’s Ex Libris, on Sunday, October 15th. We will meet at the Main Campus Building (300 Fenway) at 12:30 p.m., and walk over together for the 1:30 p.m. showing. Tickets are $5 with your Simmons student ID!

To kick off Banned Books Week, Beatley Library zine librarians will be discussing banned graphic novels and picture books, and how they can be reimagined through zines. We will provide materials for zine-making, as well as snacks! Can’t make it Monday evening? The zine supplies will stay in the lounge throughout banned books week, so drop in at any time to make your own zines featuring banned graphic novels.
