The NEW ALASC Book Club

Wednesday, February 27th at 5:30pm in the Faculty Lounge

We’re rebooting the GSLIS Book Club! Each month we will be reading around a theme instead of a single book. February’s theme is “Breakups” and we encourage you to read a book from the list below or bring your own suggestion of amazing breakup reads–there is absolutely NO reading requirement.. just great conversation about books we love.

SUGGESTIONS:

This is How You Lose Her by Junot Diaz

Why We Broke Up By David Handler

High Fidelity by Nick Hornby

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

“Freedom by Jonathan Franzen

Bridget Jones’s Diary” by Helen Fielding

ALASC General Meeting – Spring 2013

The ALASC General Meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 13th in the 2nd floor Student Lounge at 5:00pm.

This semester we are planning even more events to help you get to know other students, faculty and information professionals already working in the field. Come out and join us on Wednesday to find out how you can get involved with ALASC—by attending events, following us on social media or even by creating your own student-led projects. We want your input on the kinds of things that interest you!

Snacks will be provided so come join us!

Hope to see you there.
