Program for Symphony Hall Pops concert

As part of its educational mission, Simmons College makes available copies of certain items from its collections. One such collection, The Daisie Miller Helyar Scrapbook digital library, is comprised of text and images drawn from the Daisie Miller Helyar Papers (1906–1910) at the Simmons College Archives. The collection, including all the text and images it contains, is owned by the Archives. Many of the materials are protected by copyright law and may be used for research or educational purposes only. However, some items have entered the public domain, and use of these materials is unrestricted. Note that materials not yet in the public domain will enter it at some future time (for more information, see http://www.copyright.cornell.edu/resources/publicdomain.cfm). Specific copyright information for this collection is included in the information that accompanies each scrapbook item.

Online access to materials protected by copyright is provided for scholarly and research purposes, activities protected as Fair Use under United States Copyright Law (17 U.S.C.A. § 107). Users may view, print, photocopy, and download these images for scholarly and/or research purposes from this site without prior permission, as long as proper attribution of the source is made on all copies.

As a matter of good scholarly practice, we recommend that patrons using Archive-provided materials credit the Archive and the appropriate URL as its source. Please credit all works in this collection with the title of the work followed by: “The Daisie Miller Helyar Scrapbook, 1906–1910. Boston: Simmons College Archives.” and the URL for the particular item credited.

The nature of historical collections is such that copyright or other information about restrictions may be difficult or even impossible to determine. Users are ultimately responsible for determining copyright restrictions, for obtaining written permission, and for paying any fees necessary for the reproduction or proposed use of the materials. The Archives makes no express or implied warranty to others who wish to use or reproduce items found in its collection and will not be held responsible for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising out of or relating to the use of the information and materials in this collection.

The Archives has made a reasonable effort to secure any permission needed to present materials in The Daisie Miller Helyar Scrapbook, 1906–1910. However, we have not necessarily been able to identify or contact all of the possible rights holders, or to clarify restrictions on the use of the items that appear in this collection. In addition, any person who feels his/her rights have been violated by the online access to any of the items should contact the Archives.
