About the Project

The Alice Morris Walker Scrapbook is the most recent addition to the Notable Women of Simmons College Digital Scrapbook Collection at the Simmons College Archives. Each scrapbook in the collection is a result of the efforts of students in the Digital Libraries course who, over the course of a semester, digitize and make available on the Internet the scrapbook of a Simmons alumnus from the first half of the twentieth century.  The Alice Morris Walker Scrapbook was constructed by the students of Professor Terry Plum's Fall 2010 section of the Digital Libraries course.  The students were organized into committees to undertake the daunting task of creating a digital library in the short time allowed.
